good afternoon! today is the autumnal equinox here in the northern hemisphere. as you can tell by the pic, i've baked a loaf of harvest bread to commemorate the occasion. here's a link with more information about mabon:Official Mabon Website
i've done some gardening, too, of course. i planted a chaste tree, a 'chocolate' joe pye weed, an 'august moon' hosta, and a 'sundown' rudbeckia. it has been a nice day.
i am stil trying to learn a few new-to-me things here on xanga. but in all honesty, i've not really had the time (or made the time) to explore this wonderful place as thoroughly as i would like to. so for now, i will stick with what i know.
i am very happy to be here, and will look forward to reading more blogs and making more friends very soon.
sometimes, life changes. that's just the way it is. i blog over on Y! 360.....but there seems to be alot of speculation over the future of that entity. many are quite up in arms about it, and quite adamant about NOT WANTING CHANGE. but, doesn't life change every day, whether we want it too, or not? no two days will ever be exactly the same, no matter how many plans we make, there are always little things that can happen at any moment that can alter whatever plans we have. there are other avenues of communication. we can always exchange email addresses and even phone numbers, right? i have been looking around at other blogging options, because i really do like making friends online, and sharing ideas, learning about different people's cultures, etc. i tried the blog spot. it is not my cup of tea. so, here i am on xanga, after receiving an invitation from my good friend, anne and reading her very enthusiastic comments about xanga. it will take me some time to learn how to do things over here, but i do enjoy learning new things. it's just another little path in this adventure called Life. bring it on, i say! laissez les bons temps rouler....
this is my first blog entry here on xanga. i am happy to have one long-time friend here already, and i look forward to making even more friends. read my profile information; if i sound like someone you might like to get to know, please come on by and say hello!
With everything going on with Jon and all I just couldn't handle all the high activity at Multiply. It was just too much - as bad as 360 used to get when it would get busy LOL
Just wanted to say Thinking of YOU !
you can stay signed in, susan. that's what i do. i am still trying to figure out the mash thing. i made a wee bit of progress on it today, so hope springs eternal. LOL. i do like xanga and the blogrings. it's a really neat way to find people with similar interests.
I guess they tell you on mash also that you have a message, cause I just got the email that you said hi. Do they make you sign in every time here, that is boring, but I guess I am giving it all a chance, I do like this place better than mash though, this is more like 360.
too bad about lina.....iwonder why she doesn't like it? i think it's great! i got your recipe link, BTW. thanks again for participating. ; D
Hi :) Hey sweets are you doing Recipe Friday over on 360? Just checking ... I think since it's autumn (or close enough) it's about time for my (in)famous cabbage roll recipe to make an appearance LOL The more I'm over here the more I like it actually. I wish we could convert Lina to Xanga
thanks again, anne! i really do appreciate it. i really like it over here, but wish i had more time to explore things. i have been doing alot of stuff AFK, with L being home, etc. i'll try to get back here to post a blog at some point today. *hugs*
Hey the page is looking good. I knew you'd figure it out, it really pretty straightforward. Its just knowing where to look for stuff, so if I find something I'll let you know.
